Default Basic Wardrobe Editing now available

Hi all

I'll shortly be turning on Basic Wardrobe Editing for all logged in members.

You will be able to add/delete etc using the individual fragrances pages in the Fragrance Directory.

I will be adding back other features soon, but there's a few things happening at the moment, which will be keeping me from the site for a while.

Please post any comments to this thread. There are a few issues I know about, but let me know if you have any comments. I may not be able to respond, but I will read them all.

Thanks

Thumbs up Re: Basic Wardrobe Editing now available

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
It's wonderful to have it back. I just updated mine and I hope we'll have more of the ones that are missing soon in the directory.
Grant, thanks again for all your hard work.

Hooray! Finally got the add the new fragrances I've obtained! Thanks for bringing wardrobes back to us, Grant!

I just wanted to add that I'm not sure about the alphabetical listing of the fragrances by name. I kind of liked how they were organised by house, as it made it easier to see how many of a certain house that one has. Maybe an option to list by house or name?

There is a way to do that, Tavorna: at the top of your wardrobe it says 'name/house/gender/launch'. Click either of them and it will sort your collection according to your choice. The default is by gender. It would be nice to be able to change the default instead of having to do it manually, by the way. I liked the 'house' listing better too.

Thank you. I have been waiting patiently. Usually in the morning I check the weather, my email, and basenotes to see if my wardrobe is up again.

How do I completely remove a scent?
The best I could do was to get it in the Tried folder, but once there I can't delete it at all.

Regards,
François

"Test" means 'to test', i.e. scents you'd like to test. "Tried" is for those scents you've already tested.

Grant, I'm very very happy to have the core wardrobe features back again. Can you tell me if/when we will have the ability to use the marketplace features (i.e. showing something available for swap, searching other members wardrobes for swaps)? Thanks

I'm new to posting here, but even if this wardrobing feature is not fully functional, I just have to remark how WONDERFUL this is. I've been working on my own list and it just pales in comparison. Oooh. I wish we could print this all out...

Loving Basenotes. LOVE.

Thank you so much!

Dunno if this is an issue or not but the Test List doesn't list a number like the other tabs.

Also, is there any reason I can't change the icon?

I see the same issue with missing number for this tab; and in addition, the Section Introductions in the Wardrobe Settings work fine for the other sections but does not show up in the Test List.

Hello Everyone, I am very new to the Basenotes community. Although I have listed my fragrances in my wardrobe, I am unable to sort them, even when I click the Name or other tabs. Because there are gender and house tabs, I believe that I may have entered the fragrances in the wrong way. I didn't see anyplace where I had the option of listing gender or house. Also, the numbers of fragrances that I have listed do not show. All I have are empty parenthesis. How do I correct this please?

Love the wardrobe section. I figured out everything EXCEPT how to change the wardrobe Icon. I clicked "Settings",scrolled down and chose the one I wanted and then "saved"....but it seems like it's disabled.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Click USER CP>Edit Your Details. Then scroll down to the last and choose SEE YOUR WARDROBE

That should work.

That's what I take it to mean.

it's not in your possession now. You may have worn Brut for 8 years straight like me but there's none around me now and I really don't expect to see a bottle any time soon.

I've been able to remove items by using the wardrobe editing fuctions within individual fragrances pages in the directory. Just did a few the other day, matter-of-fact.

Could you be more specific? I've gone to the fragrance page of the one I'd like to remove from my 'Tried' list and haven't been able to figure out how to remove it.

Thanks in advance.

I cant seem to change my wardrobe icon. I go change to in the wardrobe settings and then I save it. But when I go check a post of mine I still see the default icon.

Stuff gets added to your tried list if you also have it in your own or owned list. If its not on either of those, let me know and I'll take a look

I've got a fair bit more work to do on the wardrobe front, so I'll take a look

Grant, the one I'm trying to remove from my 'Tried' list is not in any other list of mine. The one I'm trying to remove is the Burberry London (women's version).

Thanks for your help.

I am able to remove something from my "own" list, but I can't take if off my "tried" list. And the few things I mistakenly put in my "tried" list can't be removed.

I'm have not been able to get rid of tried icon and it has been a hassle. I really need to use own and tried seperetely. This has been since the new basenotes updated. Are we having this issue resolved soon? I've waited patiently, but it has been months.

Just wondering, how do you put that you would like to swap a fragrance on your wardrobe page?
