Re: What do I do with this after shave?

Apart from a few notable exceptions (Mennen Skin Bracer, Halston Catalyst and Trumper Aftershave splashes) most aftershave spalshes sting like hell, and make my face go red raw in places.

To use...

Re: Recommendations for a "dark" frag

For me, it would be Versace Dreamer. Not sure why.

Re: Tiffany for Men?

I got mine at PerfumeConnection some years back. I spent a lot for it A$80 for a 100ml bottle.

Re: Tiffany for Men?

It's a confusing scent - some have classified it as an oriental, but others as a chypre.

Should be fine for class, it's fresher than Dreamer.

Re: Creed Santal and Joop

Unfortunately, I now have a big problem with Joop Homme - I have two bottles of it, and my wife has suddenly decided that she doesn't like it anymore.

What to do?

Re: Creed Santal and Joop

On me, if I sniff really hard I can detect Original Santal after 5 hours - but it's not doing anything like the same job as when I first put it on.

The time criterion is important to me, it's my...

Re: Kenneth Cole Reaction T-Shirt

It is nothing like Tommy T.

Tommy T is one of my favourite scents, beautifully synthetic like a washing machine in a bottle, with fabulous lasting power.

T-Shirt was a bit of a whimp by...

Re: Creed Santal and Joop

Joop Homme can be really nice in cooler weather. But I'm no fan of it in hot weather, like where you live.

Re: Creed Santal and Joop

Original Santal is good for about 5 hours.
Joop Homme is good for about 5 days (if you don't wash).

I think this says something about quality.

Re: Spotted at Aussie K-Mart

I've seen that one at My Chemist. I tried their tester one day, and it smelled awful - but it may just have been a dodgy tester, because I have the 100ml bottle from that vintage, and it still smells...

Re: Spotted at Aussie K-Mart

Maybe they've reformulated it, trying to make it last as long as Himalaya?

They sell Guerlain Vetiver there? Is it old or new bottle?
Cheers,

Re: Spotted at Aussie K-Mart

Hi Anthony

Yes, I saw all them the other day, but I walked into Chemist Warehouse yesterday to get something else, and they had an apology printed out for Boss Bottled in box, which said the price...

Re: Voleur de Roses vs. Aramis 900

I've just put some of each on each wrist.

While they may have some notes in common, they're plainly different scents to my nose.

My wife will also happily wear VDR, but wouldn't wear Aramis 900...

Re: Feminine vetiver

Yardley's Imperial vetiver is the least masculine vetiver I own, and I'm going to give it to a female friend because I'm never going to wear it.

It may be worth your checking out. It's fairly...

Re: Italian women and perfume, a question

From my observation, there are plenty of perfume shops over in Italy, and they tend to stock everything one would find in a Sephora. Plus there are quite a lot of niche shops as well. And there is...

Re: PACO RABANNE PH - Original v Reformulated !!

The reformulated one I tried in the shop didn't have anywhere near the endurance of the older one on me. It's still good, but I'd now rate it more as a standard scent, rather than a powerhouse....

Re: Fragrances you wear to intimidate others

Sung Homme.

I don't know if it actually intimidates others, but it makes me feel like a powerhouse.

Re: Similarity between M7 and Azzaro visit

To my nose, nothing smells remotely like M7.
I've got a bottle, but I'm not overly fond of it.

Re: Side-by-side comparison: GIT vs. Cool Water vs. Chez Bond

Unfortunately I've never smelled Chez Bond.

But it's good to see someone else putting to rest the myth that Cool Water and GIT are "exactly alike".

I cringe when I think back to the fact that...

Re: How about re-writing some of LT's reviews ?

I've never been to Moscow, but a thought keeps nagging me - whether Moscow night time taxi drivers are really so classy that they wear exotically delightful scents like Laguna.

And I keep trying...

Re: I tried Brut

I really like Brut too, but was never that happy with the longevity of the aftershave, the body splash or the cologne. Some six years ago I bought a bottle of the EDT which had just come back on the...
