Re: Balmain recommendations

I think all the Balmains, at their cost are FBW. But that's how I think! Balmain de Balmain is my favorite for men, a dry, classic chypre with a great, lasting fougere-like drydown!

Re: Do you ever coordinate your jewelry and perfume?

Every day. In fact, sometimes I spritz something on, then feel it's, for example, "too gold" or "too retro" for the jewels I have on and change jewelry, or vise versa...

I have so many style and...

Re: Feminine Molinard or Balmain suggestions

I have to pipe up here, as Balmain is my fave house:

Please give Balmain de Balmain a go. It's a chypre, but a heady and magical one.) I think it's the best one from this house, really. Though...

Jolie Madame has the perfect amount for me; it's definitely there, but not so much it resembles suntan products.

Yves Rocher makes a plain Coconut scent, too.

Re: can we talk about texture?

For me Hypnotic Poison is not smooth; rather it reminds me of pink synthetic chiffon, the kind with embedded glitters...rough and prickly.

And Chanel 19 is not perfectly smooth to my nose either,...

Re: Who created Miss Balmain?

Good point! I am sure it was a combination of Jolie Madame and Miss Balmain; that makes perfect sense.

Though I have encountered a couple of scents, which really do seem to have slid under the...

Delightfully Unchanged Favorites....

I was just reading Mysticknot's great thread devoted to suspected ruinations of our old favorites.
