Re: Body Kouros is discontinued

I guess it just didn't sell real well around here, so it makes no sense from a business point of view to have those bottles take up space on the shop shelves. I have BK and like it a lot, but I must...

Re: Body Kouros is discontinued

It's definitely been discontinued in Germany for almost a year now, but I saw it recently in a pretty normal perfumery in Finland. So it's probably a case of discontinuation in some markets rather...

Re: Best "Mojito" Scent

Farfalla Fresh Lime and Farfalla Uomo, which are so-called natural perfumes. Both are Eau Fraiche and VERY mojitonic. Lime and sugar all the way!

Definitely suitable for a man as well.

Re: 4711 launches a new line of (bad) colognes

Maybe it's just my ignorance, but looking at their post-1950 product heritage I don't know why anyone would come to expect anything hi-end from this brand.

Re: 4711 launches a new line of (bad) colognes

Hmm, I'm beginning to think that t_g_l doesn't like 4711 a whole lot :)

I like the melissa and verbena one, it resembles the lemony top of Blenheim Bouquet with which I sometimes layer it, but...

Isn't a test under everyday conditions much more meaningful?

Re: Damn! Black Aoud is tenacious

I have only a sample of the regular one. I can't see myself craving for extra...

You know, that sounds like a ruined shirt. Like you can't possibly wear it with another scent on. Is Roses Musk...

Damn! Black Aoud is tenacious

I'm used to wearing long lasting strong scents as you can tell from my Wardrobe, but Black Aoud seems to top out everything when it comes to tenaciousness. The t-shirt I'm wearing is fresh from the...

Re: DH Intense, Armani Code, 2 Man or Nemo?

You know, I'm beginning to wonder whether they pay you... ;) j/k

I don't know Nemo, but DH Intense and 2 Man are wonderful scents, and complement each other very well wearability-wise. As for...

Re: YSL Kouros or Body Kouros

Have both, love both. The compliment aspect is a bit more pronounced with the original though.

Re: YSL with M7 went too far with this campaign?

Men have penises.

I think the ad is pretty tasteful in that a) the penis is not an oversized John Holmes schlonnng and b) the guy seems to have slight "love handles". So, for a model, that's...

Re: Which Niche Houses Are In Danger?

Umm.... I suppose that means that I'll have to get a big bottle of Kouros this year?
Can someone give me/us a quick rundown on what's going to change? A ban on those ingredients, a quantity/ml...

Re: Better than Terre D' Hermes...

CdG Kyoto - removes what I don't like about Terre. Not sure it is FBW though, as it's very minimalistic. Another great orange peel fragrance that is much less like Terre is L'anarchiste.

Re: YSL Body Kouros - Your Testimonies, Please?

For me it isn't. Just clubbing/evening wear. It's too sexy for most of everything else.

Re: YSL Body Kouros - Your Testimonies, Please?

I get compliments very seldom. I really like BK a lot, but I can see how it may come across as simplicistic and linear. I would call it a somewhat minimal fragrance that, when not worn too often, is...

Re: What was your last present?

The last present I got was Dior Homme Intense - a huge hit.
The last present I gave was Musc Ravageur - a tremendous hit.

Re: How to open a used spray bottle?

I think a normal fragrance bottle is rivetted shut, so it's probably quite hard to open them and sealing them afterwards. If you have trouble getting an empty spray bottle, you could go to the...

Re: What Makes You BUY

I'm a very conservative buyer, hence my tiny wardrobe. The process usually goes like this:
1. Trying on my hand. Possibly more than once. Proceed to 2 if the scent is good.
2. Getting a sample &...

Re: Dior Homme vs. Dior Homme Cologne?

Definitely. I'm thinking about getting it for summer as well. It has a citrusier top which fades into a lighter Dior Homme base. But I haven't tried it in hot weather yet. For an even less sweet Iris...

Re: Recommendation for longest lasting power and sillage for summer

Seeing that you already own two YSLs, you should embrace the inevitable and get Kouros.

Re: Need suggestions to complement my collection

I also thought something formal or semi-formal would be a nice addition, for example Dior Homme (any version but NOT the Sport version), Gucci ph or Comme des Garcons 2 Man, or both male Prada...

Re: Has your fragrance choice ever ruined your day?

Sampling Opium ph EDP on my skin and riding a full bus 15 minutes later was not so pleasant. That sillage is overwhelmingly overwhelming. Sampling Issey was awful also. With the stuff of my wardrobe...
