Re: Coffee Time , coffee fragances

Sorry if I am starting to sound like a broken record asking for designer scents all the time, but any designer coffee recommendations? I tried Rochas Man, but didn't get much coffee (liked it...

Re: What Are The BEST Shower gels Around?

I am bumping this thread because I had a related question that I didn't think deserved its own thread.

Has anyone tried the Demeter shower gels? Looks like they make one for most or all of their...

Re: My buddy's "natural" scent

Look to the laundry detergent or shower gel. My girlfriend used to use a detergent that was ridiculously strong. It was so strong that shirts she would borrow from me smelled like it after she wore...

Re: Question about scentedmonkey.com

It did that to me once when I was trying to order samples while using a discount code. It actually charged me shipping before I noticed. It was, however, automatically refunded the following day to...

Re: Negative Reviews-Should I write more?

In general, I would have to say that I give more weight to positive reviews by people who are willing to write bad reviews if they think a fragrance deserves it. If all I see is good review by...

Re: light, resinous frags suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestions! Out of those mentioned, the only one I have tried so far is Guerlain Vetiver (which I like quite well, but the tobacco is too harsh for me).

I just gave a bottle of...

Re: light, resinous frags suggestions?

What is this one like? Not much info on it on basenotes.

Great suggestions so far, guys!

Re: light, resinous frags suggestions?

Thanks! That one sounds more up my alley. I'll add it to the sample list. I gotta get some sleep for now. I'll check back tomorrow.

Re: light, resinous frags suggestions?

I haven't yet, actually. I tend to avoid orientals because they are often too sweet for me, though there are exceptions. I'll sure give it a try, though

light, resinous frags suggestions?

I recently sampled Gucci pour homme II and Tommy Bahama (original) and I really enjoyed how they were fairly light in weight but had a dry, resinous/incense note in the base. Can you guys give me...

Re: What's Missing in my wardrobe?

How about a classic eau de cologne? I'm no citrus fan either, but I really miss my Jean Marie Farina sample for when I am just getting out of the shower.

Re: Hello and some suggestions

outdoorsy and rugged - Terre d'Hermes

It is also suggested for virtually any other reason on this board, because it is awesome :)

l'occitane shops are fun, but not really "outdoorsy" for the...

Re: Rei Rien = new decanting site?

Np, i'm always excited to see more sources of decants popping up. Hopefully they will get stuff that theperfumedcourt doesn't stock, and we will get a little bit of competition going on!

Re: CARON - Le 3iéme Homme

IMHO it is still worth buying a sample at that price point. I get annoyed at having bottles around that I don't like. If I have 60 bucks to spend, I would much rather try 10 and buy my favorite...

Rei Rien = new decanting site?

On a google search for a random sample, i ended up on reirien.com which apparently is now selling 1ml decants! I hadn't heard about this on the board before, so I figured I would mention it in case...

Re: Encre Noir or Vetiver?

I don't like EN as much as a lot of people do. I love the first 30 minutes or so, though. Cold, wet, dark vetiver that I find very "gray" in character. I find the dry-down to be much less...

Re: Should price even matter when reviewing niche scents?

Of course! It is a product review. All important facets of the product should be accounted for.

When I am deciding whether or not to buy a scent, an automatic list is compiled in my head of...

Re: CARON - Le 3iéme Homme

Beautiful stuff! Doesn't really feel like an 80's frag to me. It was part of my very first online sample order. Been meaning to sample it again. I would just buy a bottle, but I am worried about...

Re: Poll: Do people really want "lighter" scents?

Heavy... Light... They all have their place. I wouldn't feel that I had a well rounded wardrobe without a few light scents.

...In fact, I don't seem to have a very well rounded...

Re: Do you gravitate more on light or heavy scent?

Most of the scents that I am extremely attracted to are medium-heavy to heavy. However, to me light scents are generally more easily wearable. All too often, I find myself wearing one of my two...

Re: FragranceNet.... a truly disappointing experience

To be honest, stories like this are to be expected. Crap happens. I WILL, however, probably refrain from doing business with them if they don't make it right after you contact them. Too many...
