Re: BMen available for very low price - good idea to buy?

What do you mean by grey market? This is at a large nationwide chain of stores, Shoppers Drug Mart, where I saw this, I would think for sure that they would only sell genuine stuff.

Re: BMen available for very low price - good idea to buy?

thank you for your posts so far, here is another small question though.

People say that fragrances over time will start to go bad, but will a fragrance that is in a sealed package last pretty much...

BMen available for very low price - good idea to buy?

I noticed at a local grocery store here, they have 50ml bottles of Bmen on final clearence sale for only 19.99 each! And keep in mind this is Canada where fragrances probably on average cost at...

Re: Gucci Envy - a good blind buy?

Envy has always struck me as a sort of fragrance that I can't think of someone who could actively say they dislike it. In many ways it reminds me of some pretty basic drugstore scent you've known...

Re: Best Source to Buy Creed

This is a good point, how can you ever know about what the bottle of perfume you've bought has been through?

I mean apparantly light is terrible for fragrance. But you go to the department store...

Re: Have scents given away your identity before?

I wear Le Male to the club and the girls I know could close their eyes and know for sure it was their favourite playboy.

Re: spring/summer scent

I've always thought that L'eau d'issey is one of the worst perfumes out there. It smells like poison.

M7 fresh is quite nice.

I've always thought that the nicest smelling warm weather perfume...

Re: top 3 most OVERRATED scents.

Among the general public I think basically just the common top sellers which everyone touts as simply amazing, the armani ones, Dolce and Gabanna pour homme, Lacoste stuff. They are all basic fresh...

Re: Fragrancenet

I thought you can't ship cologne cross border because it contains alcohol and is considered a "dangerous good" due to being flammable or something along those lines?

Is B-Men by Mugler discontinued and hard to find now?

I ask this, because, I thought I had read it is discontinued, but today I was at a local grocery store which is kind of an upscale one with a cosmetic section as well, and they had a whole bunch of...

Re: greenpeace vs basenotes!

Noooo you didn't read what I wrote. I said it reminded me of a pervious thread in which people were talking about using fragrance on little children.

In response to other replies, ultimately...

Re: greenpeace vs basenotes!

2004 - a joint Swedish-Danish research team found a very strong link between allergies in children and the phthalates DEHP and BBzP.

2004 - On the other hand, a study by Children's National...

Re: greenpeace vs basenotes!

Oh yeah, I've seen this alright. There's no doubt that a big chunk of our favourite fragrances are in actuality a wonderful concoction of highly toxic, carcinogenic and otherwise unhealthy...

Re: Yves St Laurent product line...the cupboards were bare

Yep, I live in the Toronto area and aside from a few spots YSL fragrances are non-existant. Walmart has Opium Edt, Department stores usually have YSL PH, sometimes you see Kouros or Rive Gauche in...

Re: How do you pronounce Rochas?

I think it would be Ro-shazz - with the French R you say in the back of your throat.

Air-mezz/mayz

Just pick up one of the learn to speak French books and read the first chapter on...

Re: Has this ever happened to you? Version 2

Definitely I have, all the time actually in the testing I've done. There's this girl that lives just a couple houses down from me. We hang out the odd time. I've had her test a bunch. I'll ask my...

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

I'm going by Canadian dollar prices I've seen, which will be higher, so that's the reason for the higher figures. Either way, it's still several times higher in most cases, it varies of course.

Re: Help to add few more to my winter wardrobe

You really should go out and test stuff. I've learned really quick that if I were to buy based upon the popular reviews here, I'd end up with a lot of fragrances I hated. Unless you live way out in...

Re: Fragrance that smells like tea?

Yang, Bvlgari PH are two that I can think of if you like tea. Neither one is overly expensive.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

See that doesn't make any sense though. What does "artistic" smell like?

Something like Daim Blonde maybe? I'm supposed to be amazed by it because it has such wonderful ingredients and is such...

Re: Thinking of buying Bulgari Black but.....

He's in Canada though.

Bringing stuff across the border is terribly hit or miss.

$65 seems about right, I live in the Toronto area and Bvlgair Black seems really rare, you barely see it...

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

I'd say that in an overwhelming majority of cases, only people who could be described as fragrance connoisseurs can get a higher level of appreciation from expensive niche fragrances vs. nice...

Re: Any good fragrance-free after shave?

I use the Nivea for Men Sensitive Aftershave Balm in the white bottle. It just has the smell of the lotion really, not some added fragrance that is going to stay with you for a long time.

Re: apocolypto/borat

I saw Borat, it's alright I guess. Just the exact same concept from all the shows recycled over and over. All the same kind of misinterpreting things in a funny/offensive way and you get the "I...
