Re: The (Almost) Identical Fragrances Thread

Ferrari Black and Desire for a man.
Note the similarities in the top, mid AND base notes.
Disclaimer: This is how they smell on MY skin and it also might just be my nose!
The above disclaimer is...

Re: The (Almost) Identical Fragrances Thread

Well, I did include a disclaimer, 'Is it just my nose'. So, if no-one else can smell the similarities, it IS my nose!

Re: What's that ugly lingering note?

Our downstairs storage room is lined with Cedar. It is quite an unpleasant place to be in for any length of time!

Lightbulb Re: Spotting fakes?

Sometimes it's impossible to tell until the item is received. I haven't gotten any fakes yet on Ebay but I HAVE gotten old stock which can be slightly different in smell to off-the-shelf stuff at the...

Talking Re: The (Almost) Identical Fragrances Thread

Allure Homme Sport smells remarkably like Jeans by Tommy Hilfiger which in turn smells a lot like Happy by Clinique. Or is it just my nose??

Re: What would Björk wear in a concert?

Having seen some of her weirder video clips I would suggest that she might be wearing a very strong very off-beat MENS fragrance.......

Re: My problem - I haven't found anything I've HATED!

Yes, I too hate the Joop and Gautier fragrances. I can make a concession for Jocamo De Jocamo Rouge as it has that lovely Mint note.
I have quite a few frag's and think it's great to have an option...

Re: Jazz / Rive Gauche

I sometimes get funky stuff happening when I spray on my skin. One day a fragrance turns out really strangely just for one day , then it's back to normal. I would never has guessed that RG and Jazz...

Re: Got a full-size bottle of M7 yesterday

Couldn't agree more about not buying M& blind. It is a fantastic fragrance but it may not suit your body chemistry or worse still, you might just hate it's smell. I have to say though that my skin is...

Re: Video of a Porsche and a Lightning pickup

we used to cruise along the motorway in the 80's in our family car (Audi 90) at 120mph for hours on end in the UK. It didn't seem that fast back then and there were no Police to be seen. My how...

Re: RIP Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter"

It's ironic that I live about 40 minutes from Steve Irwins Australia Zoo and I used to live down the street from him on the Sunshine Coast and yet he didn't really have much of an impact on my life...

Re: Paco Rabanne XS for office

There is the question of the quantity that you apply of course. A sensible level of the stuff will create a limited sillage range! Of course there are those who would consider that suggestion...

Thumbs down Pheromones the odourless scent with a bad taste

Is it just me or does the Pherotalk website resemble the letter section of Playboy? I haven't read Playboy since in over 20 years but I do remember the 'I bet you get letters like this all the time...

Re: What is the most *unusual* and *unique* fragrance you have EVER tried?

I think familiarity does breed contempt to some extent but every time I put on YSL Opium for men I wonder what other people must think when they smell it

Re: Paul Smith's Story website is here

I haven't wrapped my nose around anything from PS which I would describe as bland! Devisive perhaps but not bland. Can't wait to sniff!

Angry Re: What would Neo in The Matrix wear?

Well, if the brothers had anything to do with it (which they would), it would be something with a great opening, an open ended middle and a thoroughly unsatisfying finish..........

Re: What are some clean fresh scents?

Live Jazz is certainly a smart choice. CK One (as sited above), can be a bit floral (which may not be fresh to all noses). I too am not a fan of aqua based frag's so I obviously wouldn't recommend...

Wink Re: Today's Experiment- attempt to recreate Dior Homme

I hope I don't sound too cynical here but is it possible that the major frag' houses sometimes omit certain facts about their frag's to avoid them being copied (with any ease). I know there are...

Re: Converting Splash Bottles to Spray Bottles

I have done this. I got hold of an atomiser spray bottle and decanted by 'splash-on' into it. I now have an atomiser version of the same frag' but not in the same bottle!
This may not appeal...
