SOTD Sunday 30 December 2007

Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege again. I really like this one, I just wish it had better staying power on my skin. Oh, well, it's nice on a very hot day like today, anyway. ;)

Re: SOTD Saturday 29 December 2007

Actually, I had a shower earlier (because I was hot and sticky) and ended up changing fragrance. :) I'm now wearing Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege, which I like but can only wear when it's hot because of...

Re: How do your loved ones feel about your fragrances?

I inherited my love of perfume from my grandmother. She was always trying new things. She started wearing Giorgio Beverly Hills in the early eighties when it first came out (and she was in her...

SOTD Saturday 29 December 2007

Good morning! (Morning here as I write this, anyway ;))

It's going to be very hot today, so I'm wearing Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, which I know will work on my skin in the heat. Nice refreshing...

Re: How do your loved ones feel about your fragrances?

My husband wears Caron Pour Un Homme because I bought him some. He likes that it's art deco (he's got a fondness for that era) and he likes the way I like it on him. ;)

Other than that, he's not...

SOTD Tuesday 25 December :)

Happy Festivus! (Yes, I'm a Seinfeld fan ;))

And in celebration of this most festive of occasions, I'm wearing Joy! :)

(And I do so have a life! I'm just in the mid-afternoon lull between lunch...

Re: SOTD Monday 24 December

Mmm, I guess it is GMT+11. I keep forgetting about that. ;) (I'm in Melbourne, by the way, we do the Daylight Savings Time thing, I just forget to add it on when I think of GMT.)

Re: SOTD Monday 24 December

Yeah, that whole GMT+10 thing and being on the fashionable side of the International Dateline can be fun. ;)

SOTD Monday 24 December

Merry Christmas Eve (to those of you who celebrate it)!

I'm wearing Sunflowers. Such a cheerful fragrance. Puts me in a good mood for all the ridiculous wrapping I have yet to do... ;)

SOTD Sunday 23 December

I'm wearing Curious (which is a lovely perfume, despite the reputation of the person whose brand it is ;)).

Re: SOTD 22nd December The Shortest Day

It's actually the LONGEST day here in the Southern Hemisphere (and it's already the 23rd where I am). I wore Charlie Silver, which is nice and light for summer (even though it's unseasonably cold...

Re: "I hate perfume. You should outlaw it.......

Nobody's ever said such a thing to me, happily, but if someone did complain about it, I'd just explain to them that the world is full of clueless people who don't get it and who wear far too much...

Re: mystery perfume

It's always possible to politely ask what perfume someone is wearing. I do it regularly, to both men and women. So long as you're ultra polite and it's clear you're not pulling some weird come-on or...

Re: Young people/old frags

My husband wears that classic Art Deco era fragrance, Caron Pour un Homme. He's only 33, but it suits him perfectly, AND he doesn't smell like every other guy in his office. ;)

SotD Monday 6 November

I'm wearing that classic of classics, Jean Patou Joy. I don't wear it that often, but some days it just really suits my mood. The top notes are okay, but the middle notes, oh, yum. Soft, soapy,...

Re: Perfumes you like on your skin but not on your clothes

Uhm, I think I wasn't clear. :)

I don't put it on my clothes. I put it on my skin, and it comes off onto my clothes, and the "after effect" on the clothes is what I don't like. :)

Re: Strawberrynet Is Hopping Mad!

ROTFLMAO!!!! Using heavy cosmetic creams can, indeed, cause pimples, if it's got oil in it (most do) and you've got the sort of skin that reacts to having oily stuff all over it.

And since when...

Perfumes you like on your skin but not on your clothes

Okay, maybe I'm weird, but as much as I love Opium and the way it smells on me, I HATE the way it lingers in my clothes. YUCK! Possibly this is because it reminds me of my mother's closet (I'm...

Re: mens colognes we like for ourselves

Lancome Miracle Pour Homme. I bought it for my husband, and he does wear it occasionally, but I like it enough that I started wearing it, too. Those coffee notes in the middle really do it for me,...

Re: Name your sexiest fragrance!

Oooh, I think Opium. I always get compliments on that one, and my husband quite likes it and will bury his nose in my neck (or, given the chance, my cleavage) when I wear it. ;)
