Re: In the shadow of Havana - The other Gentlemen

The original Aramis is a milestone fragrance. If it was a Malle or Lutens release people would gladly fork out 3 times the current asking price, as is the case with Azzaro pour Homme or similarly...

Re: Trying YSL L'Homme today

I quite enjoy L'Homme as an everyday fragrance. It has more development and complexity than most similar frags and it must be assessed within the context of a scent that's not designed to be a Rive...

Re: unreal..

What a gimmick!

How could someone map DNA to aromachemicals? The whole thing sounds a little bit airy-fairy. They'll do anything for a buck...

Re: Dior Homme or Terre D'hermes

I'm wearing TdH Parfum today for the first time. The difference is profound to my nose. The parfum has none of that "fuzzy noise" during the opening. There's an earthy vibe that comes through to...

Re: The Musc Ravageur experience

I very much enjoy MR. It was my first niche purchase and it still remains in my top 10. Great fragrance to wear on a night out ;)

Re: Best italian fragrance for men

Yeah, I call it "Mediterranean minimalism". It's also evident if you'd contrast Italian and French cuisines.

Re: Dior Cologne Blanche: How did I miss this?!

+1

I'd recommend L'Eau d'Hiver over CB if you're looking for an iris-almond kick over a creamy base. It was an oversight to criticize CB w'out offering an alternative in post 2, sorry!

Re: No love for lavender?

Agreed on A Taste of Heaven, it's the ultimate modern lavender IMHO, not that Caron PUH is outdated or found wanting in any way... Must also add Nicolai pour Homme to the list of amazing lavender...

Re: Dior Cologne Blanche: How did I miss this?!

I tried this a few weeks ago. I was as excited as you but in the end I was underwhelmed.

This could have been so much more, as the notes sound ideal. I found it to be flat and pale.

Re: Big Toe Labowski

Get well soon mate!

I've had my big left toe partially severed in an industrial accident. 3 hour microsurgery and out of action for a month.

Re: Sample Of The Day - November '09

Amouage Gold Men: Forgive me for copping out on this one, it's just too "perfumy".

PG L'Ombre Fauve: This is one of the most exciting and sensual smoky amber scents I've tried. A must try for...
