Re: Tauer L'air du Desert Marocain - Blind Buy?

I wouldn't do it. It won't be as you think. You may love it but I am not sure if the notes will be as you see explained. I liked it but didn't love it. It wasn't as exotic as it was made to sound but...

Re: Negative 180's

Agree in part. I loved it when I first tried it. Talked about it alot. Actually bought it from a member here. Wore it twice and then didn't want it anymore. The BO smell was more prevalent while the...

Re: Broken Bottles

Yeah I'm surprised because the glass is think in the middle. From what I could tell the breaking point is right around where the spray/silver part is.

Broken Bottles

Just a sad thing. I keep a couple of bottles in my briefcase because I apply on the way to work so as not to get my little kiddos smelled up..lol. Well I had about a 3/4 bottle of Bulgari Aqua in my...

Re: Dior Homme: approved by gals as an excelent fragrance

Not a favorite...not at all. Did they like it for themselves or on you? My wife didn't like it and it is headached inducing on me.

Re: Men who just like feminine scents

Well to stay on the original subject I'll state 1) I'm straight...wife and 2 little daughters 2) I have never worn nor will I ever wear a scent classified as "for a female."

Now with that stated...

Re: Bvlgari Aqua vs Clinque Happy

Yeah. I mean we all have different notes in scents that hit us differently. Thus our different tastes. BUT I will say that I don't see much about these two that would lead you to find the similarity.

Re: Bvlgari Aqua vs Clinque Happy

That just goes to show you the difference in people's noses. I don't get any similarities at all.

Re: Bvlgari Aqua vs Clinque Happy

I own Aqua but have tried Happy many times and they aren't even in the same ballpark if you ask me. Aqua is almost a peppery/spicy aquatic, one of my favorites... and Happy is sweet, green, citrusy.

Re: Why did you choose your Basenotes name?

Name with a inside joke story and I've used it on boards for years. Basically it is poking fun at how when people can't remember other people's names they assign names to them and will be like..."Hey...

Re: What is the best fresh, soapy type of scent?

I've seen two Versace Dreamer references and I don't get it. That stuff is dark, spicey, tobacco like to me. Not fresh, clean soap.

As for the question..I'd go with Lacoste Original for fresh. TM...

Re: Gucci Pour Homme 2 vs. Burberry London

Lasts all day on me too. London is the easy winner for me here. It is Fall and Winter to me. Boozy, spicy, peppery..all the things I love in one. Plus it was my scent of choice in 2006 on my...
