Re: Wanted: Original Vetiver 30ml

Hi, I have a 120 ml bottle of original vetiver with about 90 ml left. I want to keep a bit to myself but I don't care about the bottle itself.

What could you offer for it? If you don't want to...

Re: Cinnamon based male scent

I disagree with Musc Ravageur and Baie de Genevrier, I think these are about other notes by a lot. Musc Ravageur being musc and medicinal vanilla, baie de genevrier just something else, note sure...

I know nothing about it except that I have an official sample (among a pack of 40 samples from that company).

Re: Help identifying Montale perfume

Perfumed Court used to have it (from a google search). They said it was part of the lines Montale sold only in the Middle East:

"Deluziont des Femmes is a spectacularly beautiful floral fragrance....

Re: The scent with no scent

Don't do the mistake I did. I used to blame the product instead of the nose. Due to that, I bought one discount Creed, thought something was wrong with it, ordered one at a luxury store for 300$,...

Re: Sleep scent?

To me, young feminine scents are best. I put them on my pillows and well, it's like having a very young lady next to you. Since it takes a lot of sprays to make my whole bed and pillows to smell no...

Re: He Hates Perfume - article in More Intelligent Life on CB

He does sound like a 17th century aristocrat in how he is described as arching his brow in disgusts at synthetic things.

However, I don't have too much of a problem with his presentation and his...

Do you guys trade your creations with each other?

Are there any such groups that I am unaware of? I think my favorite part of making perfumes if I got to ordering perfume-making-kits would be sending them to fellow basenoters.

Escada - Magnetism for Men
Doesn't last long on me, but it smells so sweet, like coca cola with extra vanilla. Sir Slarty recommended to me and I love it. It wouldn't be a favorite of mine due to...

Re: What Perfume makes Men take notice?

In my case, something hyper sweet with a ton of sillage. I love women who smell perfume, or heck, even who smell of non-stale sweat. To me, the more they smell the better. I'd go with really sweet,...

Re: Fragrance & Men?

I had a gay, masculine friend who'd pour a whole bottle of Jeniffer Lopez GLOW or some sweet Nina Ricci fragrance before going out. He'd go through a bottle a week! He actually destroyed my nose for...

What percentage of your income did you spend on fragrances in 2008?

Try to estimate the percentage of your income you spent on fragrances in 2008, after paying taxes on your salary, etc. I am talking about the money you had in your pockets to spend here. Also, you...

Re: Burger King releases Flame body spray. You too can smell like a Whopper! rop

Try out Magnetism for MEN, by Escada. It is coke with extra vanilla on top, and a bit of fizziness. You will agree with me the minute you try it on!

Also, Soda by Comme des Garcons is similar, but...

10$ Avon Mesmerize (men) VS Musc Ravageur

Reviews for Avon's Mesmerize are pretty bad overall, even more if you search through it's mentions on these forums. You get one thread on some people's worst fragrance ever and other bad things.

I...

Re: Nasomatto Duro, What's it worth?

Therefore it is worth it for each bottle you have that you never get past half :) In my case, that is about 20 bottles out of 25 :P

The 5 I actually will finish are Avon and cost 10$! I pour them...

I'm not sure about Duro, but it seems to go OK with Royal English Leather. When I take a long breathe, I get the leather and sweetness of the Creed perfume, and near the end of my deep beathe I get...

Alright, you want it, you got it.

I will repost in a few minutes with comments on:

Re: Leather and lavender?

Lavender is cheap and easy to find in EDT sprays. Maybe you should try one of those with your favorite, currently owned leather fragrance and see if it adds to it. I think it might.

Re: Nasomatto Duro, What's it worth?

My opinion: Save the 150$, and buy 5 to 10 decants from The Perfumed Court at 5 to 8ml each.

Chemicals means nothing bad at all unless they are harmful, and usually, by isolating chemical components from plans/herbs, they can better PREVENT allergies and bad effects.
