Thanks Ody, I will look into those. Someone recommended a Banana Republic fragrance, Cordova, as being similar. I tried it today and don't agree. The YSL scent I have is L'Homme which isn't half bad either. I will be on the lookout for Eucris and Marlborough.
    Thank you, DD

Further thoughts on A&F Woods. I'm wearing it today, and I find it to be what I call a gentle spice fragrance. These usually have a key ingredient of a warm spice such as clove, with other spices (coriander, nutmeg) as well. The clove note gives a kind of fresh, barber-shop vibe. Geo. F. Trumper specializes in this sort of scent, see especially Eucris and Marlborough. D. F. Harris has Marlborough Cologne. And you might try YSL Rive Gauche pour Homme. You may find some of these more powerful than the A&F, but they are nice scents. Hope this helps.

    Hello,
I read your review of A&F Woods cologne. That was and still is my favorite cologne. Otherwise I like CK One, and I recently was gifted a YSL scent of which I can't remember the name.
I was curious if you knew of fragrances similar to Woods, or onces that you would recommend to someone who likes Woods.
    Thanks,
    SG

Hi vonMises, I have only tried it in the shop. My brief notes say, "very nice, fresh & green, good longevity." For some reason I wasn't able to get a sample so I haven't formally reviewed it. It sounds good! I'm glad you like it.

    Hi, Odysseusm-
I wonder if you have tried the Trumper GFT yet. It appears you have not reviewed it here, and I value your reviews because I so often agree with them. I have recently tried my sample of GFT and found it to be absolutely superb - not a molecule out of place.

Hi Jana, I don't think what I reviewed is the same as your scent. My Concorde is in a white and green box. It is one of a series of four scents from France, each named after a Parisian metro (subway) stop. It is certainly a budget frag.
I don't think there is any connection with Concorde Hotels. Sorry I can't provide more info.

    Hi,

Is the Concorde you reviewed the EDC from "Concorde International Hotels"? Thanks, I have a bottle of this and am wondering what the heck it is

    Best,

    Jana
