Yes, I'm really getting into women's fragrances lately. I've only ever tried Chanel's No.5, and found it a bit too flowery for me (I tested the EdT). I'll be sure to have a look at your other recommendations.
The shop is the Parfums de France in Access Park, Kenilworth. I went there on Saturday and they told me they've got 40% discount on most of their fragrances as they are closing down towards the end of July! I got Shalimar 75ml EdP (NIB) for R800!
Hi, no I wasn't aware of their Access Park branch. I've been to the Constantia Village one though. And you're right - they do have some rare (for SA) items. However, I agree that their prices aren't that competitive compared to the deals available on eBay. Was that the Bal EDT? I scored a 100ml EDT last year for a princely US$3.00 + US$10.00 p&p. Seldom wear it though - a bit rough round the edges in the new formulation.
Hi there, was just wondering whether you know a store called Parfums de France at the Kenilworth Access Park? I discovered it this weekend, and wow!!! They're not cheap, but they have perfumes I've never ever seen in SA: Fracas, Bandit, Quelques Fleurs, Rumba, Vent Vert, Ambre de Cabochard, Grey Flannel, CdG's ... astounding. And all definitely authentic. I paid R500 for a 50 ml Bal a Versailles (not cheap, I know!) - they have a promotion on now, everything 10% + R100 off - but I wonder if this isn't their permanent tactic.
Hi Renperd:
I think it's great when it dries down. Which strength do you have? I have the cologne, which supposedly is the original formula. I had the EdT and it did smell more synthetic. I don't wear it often. I like orientals, ambers quite a bit and I find things like Opium, Norell and BaV are the only fragrances rich enough to satisfy the need.
Cheers,
