Very Valentino pour Homme has a nice pip tobacco accord in it but it's not fruity. It's more musky than tobacco. Michael for Men does too and it's more boozy. Tabaróme by Creed is also a good one. But I don't know of anything exactly like cherry or vanilla cigars.

Can you point me in the directions of a or a few fragrances that smell like really really good cherry or vanilla cavendish pipe tobacco? A few times in my life i would get a whiff of someone smoking a pipe. And the aroma of good expensive pipe tobacco smells Sooooo GOOD!!!!

How is it going? Say, I have a fellow BN'er wanting to swap me for a bottle of Costume National Scent Intense. I read your review on it and it sounds good, but I am worried it would be too feminine according to some of the other reviews? What is your thoughts on it??

So as I went through my wardrobe, I noticed that the bottles I really don't want anymore are those "deals" I've received from shopping at Marshall's, Ross, and TJ Maxx.

I also have numerous shirts from those places that I probably will never get the chance to wear but I really liked the design.

I'm staying away from those stores from now on and keeping my PayPal account empty. The temptation to buy more fragrances is too great...

I look at my wardrobe and I wonder why the heck I have so many bottles. It's the accumulation of fragrances I had a passing fancy for to be put away later and forgotten until someone asks me about it. Then I'm all "oh yeah that's why I have it." all over again.

Now I look at my wardrobe and wonder which one of these do I keep? I'm head over heels for DKNY Men that I have the whole collection of the various sizes. I really do like the scent but is it me?

I...

I've been trying out these "cheapo" brands: i.e. Yves Rocher, Avon, Romane... and they are not too much different than fragrance offerings from those crazy expensive niche houses. It's just that these cheapos seem to use more alcohol.

Some examples:

Chancellor by Romane is like "oh hello Green Irish Tweed".

Eryo by Yves Rocher is an sweet woods and resinous scent and very unique, actually. It's sort of like Rochas Lui and Obsession...

For my own reasons, I will not be posting any more of my crappy reviews or findings nor will I be posting in the forums. I will continue to read and it's best I just read from now on. I feel totally ignored on the boards (aside from my Only the Brave/Le Male pic). I feel as if my reviews are crap. I feel bored and frustrated. That's when a hobby becomes not fun anymore.

Please do not PM me about this, I'm not begging for attention. Don't know why I'm posting this. Maybe I've just...

Continued from my blog entry here.

Through an eBay auction in the UK, I obtained a 50ml bottle of Lotus! I paid, in total including shipping, $14. Not bad for something that took a couple of days to find.

Lotus's notes (ha, computer pun) are violets, Calabrian lemons, lavender, lilac, moss and black currants.

I can definitely smell the black currant which...
