    Tesera, I can ease your mind by telling you that natural civet is literally NEVER used anymore, at least in the civilized world. There have been excellent synthetic replacements for it for many years now. One of the most popular ones used by perfumers is called Civette Givco and is made by the perfumer's and flavorist's chemical supply house Givaudan in Switerland. You need never worry about wearing a fragrance with "civet" in it again.
