Guerlain news from the European Trademarks Database
It seems that the name of the next instalment in the L'Art et la Matière series may be Bois Torride. Guerlain filed an application for a European Community trademark for this name on June 4, 2008. (For the record, their applications for the names of the Elixirs Charnels were filed on April 28.) They have also recently filed applications for the script logo which appears above their shop at 68, Champs-Elysées, and for the phrase Guerlain, Une Ville, Un Parfum.
You will recall that I correctly predicted the name of Lutens' latest, Serge Noire, using information from the UK trademarks database, about five months before the official announcement.
PDF of the TM database entry for Bois Torride coming this evening when I have access to my FTP at home.
(P.S.: Yes, I'm just speculating that Bois Torride is part of the L'Art et la Matière series, but it does seem to match the style of the names of the other perfumes in the series.)

I'm starting to develop an appreciation for fragrances just based on some of the wonderful names they have. Carnal elixirs? Sounds good to me.
Actually, it sounded good enough that I followed your link and I actually think Chypre Fatal sounds pretty interesting. I'm not really a femme fatale type, but it's something I wouldn't mind trying anyway.Posted 2nd August 2008 at 02:54 PM by thefiancee
