The famed Mitsouko. It does not take long before a novice to basenotes becomes familiar with the popularity of this perfume. It is described as a scent that is hard to know, but it is said time and time again that if you just keep trying, you will come to love it. How could I resist? I had to try it.

I first smelled this in January at a Nordstrom counter. I did not spray but just smelled a blotter. Blech! I thought, and moved on.
